- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by cutting the breasts into bite-sized pieces and placing them in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg.
- Coat the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip them in the beaten egg, and finally roll them in breadcrumbs.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380ยฐF (193ยฐC) for 3-5 minutes.
- Whisk together the BBQ sauce and honey in a small bowl.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
- Place the breaded chicken bites in a single layer in the basket and air fry at 380ยฐF (193ยฐC) for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Once done, place the chicken bites in a bowl and toss with the honey BBQ sauce.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, cut chicken into evenly sized pieces and use panko breadcrumbs for added crunch. Preheating the air fryer is essential for perfect texture.
