A delicious and simple dish combining pasta, butter, garlic, and Parmesan cheese for a creamy meal all made in one pan.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your preferred type)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth and bring it to a gentle boil.
  4. Add the pasta, stirring well to submerge it in the broth.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions for around 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked and most liquid absorbed, reduce heat to low.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Optionally stir in chopped parsley.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley.
